Do you use adult social bookmarking sites to promote your blogs?

I've never had much luck (or traffic) with the adult social bookmark sites. I guess the extra backlinks can't hurt.

yeah, they are good for getting one way backlinks...their traffic suck IMO

www.digg.com - you just have to know how to use it right. Getting like 10-20k digg traffic daily when i submit the right stuff.. and yes theres adult content involved. You just have to know your game to get your diggs..

They do generate sales, but not through their traffic but through their backlinks

Yeah, I get the helping with rankings. Just trying to figure out if I am going to start submitting to them in any volume and if it is worth the extra work time.

Guess it depends on the site your pushing, I ve seen a few sign ups come through social media sites.
I've found stumbleupon is pretty good things go viral very quick with them.

Stumbleupon has been great with my mainstream sites. I haven't ever posted any of them on there myself but if one gets put on there by somebody else the traffic goes nuts for a few days.

Haven't done any adult that way though.

Try a few submissions to X-Digg , I think you will like the results. As most know it is hard to say what people will click on and or like, but with over 50k of uniques Daily Average (April stats), we get some pretty good traffic. Plus all the other one-way link back and the fact Google spiders us two or three times a day doesn't hurt either.

We also offer a X-Digg Voting Button as a WordPress Plugin and a JavaScript for Thumblogger and Blogger, etc.

I don't use any adult social sites.. I have used a few adult bookmark sites, they work great for getting a site off the ground.

I have tried, several mainstream social sites, that allow adult - and I have targeted non adult on them too. In general, the result was exactly the same for both.

The quality of the traffic is overall trash. Yes, it can earn an income, get subscribers, bookmarks, and boost link trades. They do have value.

The problem is the time to learn, what you should and shouldn't submit. What will hit and won't hit and how to make, each social network, respond to your articles or porn - and your character.

I personally, have found the immediate benefits, vs the time spent on social sites to be about the worst on the entire Internet.

The benefits though, can be personal relationships with other very powerful webmaster(s) - that can have linking and ranking benefits for you. Networking with others is a major factor in proper social network link building.

And if you are able to stick with it, find your slot, and have the time to be social. Your long term back link building growth and search engine improvements (with the proper site) can be astounding - making the time vs reward ratio balance out.
