I've been off the industry for about 6 years and latelly got back to test it again as I me and my family have some financial difficulties at the moment.
I had 2 galleries listed by thehun, about 30k unique views, 800 clicks to sponsor and 0 sales.
These were different sponsors, different niches.
I remember my first gallery listed was for Tawnee Stone of lighspeed and I got 20+ sales for that gallery alone, it was insane!
I have to say the TGP game is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder now:
- traffic has decreased 10 times
- conversion rates have increased 10 times
It really makes me wonder, specially when you have all these people saying they still do good with thehun.
On a related subject, it was a schock to me seeing that the biggest TGPs I knew now charge webmasters to submit galleries.
They say that it is to keep cheaters out, my opinion is that they're trying to get back the money they are losing at the webmasters expenses.
I see nothing wrong with it, people have to pay their bills.
Since TGP and AVS was my game back in the day I am learning more about other areas of the business but still struggling to have a concrete business plan.
