If you just own pets do you deserve a "Happy mother's day" wish?

Honestly, I still consider myself a mother even though my son has passed. I know when my parents die, I will still consider myself a daughter, so it seems it should work both ways.

If you are or have ever been a mother than this day is for you.

If your too selfish to have kids and want to be a DINK, then not a chance in hell.

Pets especially dogs look up to and depend on their owners like kids, have the same kind of unconditional love as small children, and remain loyal and devoted and protective of their "parent" (owner) for life.

I don't see where ackowledging such mothers is a bad thing.

Population to maintain the species is occurring because there is not as many natural disasters to control population in first world countries - our technology tips the scales heavily in our favor. The thing is, having children is healthy for a population to remain stable, keeping the workforce stable and the overall economy moving. It's when we have things like world wars and world epidemics that the balance tips one way, and then tips to over correct back... right now were on an overcorrection from the 2nd world war, the baby boomers, baby busters, gen-x, etc etc... life spans are longer.

What will nicely correct this issue is taking away financial incentives to have children. Thats government.

And what I said before... I know people who value their jobs more than having kids - they loathe them to be honest... I guess thats their perogative, but their attitude sucks - give it 10 years and i'll be laughing in their face when they realize, who's going to care for them when they're old? Talk about a lonely existence. Enjoy!

My dogs got steak. I suppose dogs help with the non kids households.
