    3rd level sounds scary, but is it really so?

                                                                              Even the GDR was the East. Like Iran and North Korea.

                                                                              As Capitalism has spread East so has geography with even the Ukraine now considered the West. Poland during the 60s outside of Europe on the extreme east, now considered the centre.

                                                                              Of course, to those who don't except the propaganda, Russia is a European country. The country who saved us from fascism. Thank you.

On a board like this I don't really think it is possible to have a truly sensible and in depth discussion of this issues. The nature of people of completely different background, education etc trying to reach a consensus.

It produced great works of art, films, music and science.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Capitalism in Poland for example has now made advances but has destroyed polish industry, driven 4 million poles abroad to find work, created homelessness, poverty, while a few become rich.

                                                                                                                                                                                              And twice as many people now sit in polish prisons as did in communist times.

                                                                                                                                                                                              I know well the problems of communism but I also see the problems of capitalism.
