yes i agree. it may be that someday the only elephants & pandas in existence are the ones in zoos. & that our behavior is slowly changing shorelines & the re-organization of habitats in the deep ocean.
bottom line in life is that we have to live with the consequences of what we do. I am certain that humans will adapt to the changes they cause to the earth. so i tend to worry more about the quality of life today & ensuring resources are available for future people.
but carbon taxes & electric vehicles will not change nothing so long as population growth resembles a rocket launch path.
