    Do you live in Thailand? Read this thread

    Are you living in Thailand? I've heard they will add new strict immigration regulation for border visa runners. Please contact me or post in this thread and i will contact you. I need to talk with somebody who is living in Thailand.

      I just did a visa run TO Thailand FROM Malaysia. I know this isn't what you asked for, but maybe it could be relevant:

      Malaysia passed legislation concerning what they call "U-turn" visa runs in April. They are on the lookout for people who travel BY LAND and turn around immediately - or the same day.

      Mostly they are looking at young women - prostitutes - but I did have a friend (male - non-prostitute) who was hassled making a same-day u-turn.

      While there are no guarantees, they seem to be targeting only land border crossings. Take a flight and you should have no problem.

              Yes, right now nothing has changed, but i read that starting with 14 august, they will change the rules of visa approval.

                  Hmmm, this trip is very important for me and i don't want to risk and not to be able to get VOA every 2 weeks like i planned and like everybody did until now in order to stay a longer period in Thailand.

                              You need to get up to speed people, there is no bribing your way out of this one, they are serious this time and it is Thailand exercising border controls, not Malaysia.
