Fighting content piracy site by site - I nabbed another theif

Found yet another HUGE forum with tons of stolen content. Seems there's 10 new ones everyday, and they can all . I don't give up easily. Surprisingly, this one was a rather quick fix.

I found his host, and sent them a nice polite email along with an explanation about how hosting content or sites with links to stolen content is not only a violation of the DMCA, but could also incriminate them regarding potential underage material.

they replied:
"Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have shut down this
account and all domains associated with it. They should be out of our
cache within 6 hours.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Did you ask the owner of the site to remove the content first or just go straight to the host. Either way, good shit.

Thank you. To answer your question, I generally don't ask the site owners anymore unless it's very peculiar circumstances where they actually might not have known about it... but in general, I'm tired of *asking* for it to be removed. These guys KNOW they're thieves, I don't feel inclined to politely ask for my material to be taken down as if they're oblivious to the fact there are 90,000 pages worth of posts on their forum with links to stolen content.

Not only does this fucker have shit loads of site rips, he actively blackmails site owners.

For instance he told the webmaster from ChristinaModel.com that he wanted her to do a custom nude set for him or he would release all her videos before they came out on her site, and sure enough, he's been releasing her vids like mad.

The owner of the site was a big poster on USENET and now runs that forum and takes "donations"

I think people have talked to the host kolido.net but they haven't done shit. Rumor has it that the site has underage shit on it but I'm not going to investigate that.

I think that the difference is that sites easily accessible through your browser are enabling a whole new group of freeloaders to download stolen content.

While USENET is a problem, its users have to be moderately tech-savvy.

Forums and torrent sites dumb it down so any reject with a PC has access to fuckloads of stuff.

Also, these forums foster a warped sense of community and entitlement and indoctrinate a mass of people into thinking free porn is a right.
