Google Analytics and Network of sites Question (SEO)

The answer to the following question might be obvious for some of u experts however, it isn't for me... here we go:

If you have a G. analytics acc. and you put the tracking code in all of your sites (which may be in dif. IPs and interlinked) do you think that placing such codes in all of your domains will affect the way google ranks the sites? I am thinking that by putting the analytics tracking code in all of my sites I'm pretty much disclosing my game plan to google.... what do you guys think?

    PS.
No I'm not trying to spam the big G! (at least not as bad as some of u .. lol)

one would think that google can and may use any data that they have available to them, if not today, maybe tomorrow.....

thought I was ok with temporarily parking some sites that I was going to move around hosts, google noticed and figured out they were parked, and they banned and deindexed them, and that just happened this week, so any answer you get on this might be valid today but google can do whatever they want whenever they want

google isn't interested in hurting or not hurting your business

they are interested in the integrity of their search engine results.... his question was an SEO linking scheme, which is basically intended to artificially boost the relevance of his sites, which goes against the intentions of google's algorithm, so to think that it is a case of google not wanting to hurt your linking scheme, you should really be looking at it from google's perspective, in that your linking scheme is intending to hurt the serp integrity

I would not disclose that information to them. They are a company, not your friend.

The image they portray is not all that accurate, it is just great marketing. http://blog.v7n.com/2007/01/31/googl...ding-strategy/

If you are using the same whois information on all domains they probably know all your domains anyway I think.

As far a g is concerned, any SEO would be considered "shady shit."

Regarding the posts above... I'm just figuring out a way to effectively interlink my sites (10 or so in 5 dif niches, 2 for each niche), I mean whats the point of having sites in dif IPs and Cblocks if you are telling google you own the sites?... doesn't make any sense.... if that is considered shady stuff then I have to say GFY is full of shady people! lol

If I was Google, I would be mapping out a detailed architecture of who owns what based on that kind of information (analytics). Now chances of them actually using that info is slim at first. If you're a G spammer, then they might be more inclined to trace all your other sites as well, but I don't see a negative impact on your rankings unless you're trying to spam them.

Google collects a lot of information, some of it minor, some of it major. Even if they're not doing it today, or as an automated process, you can be pretty sure that sooner or later all those little bits of information are going to be put together to reach a reasonable conclusion.

If you're at all concerned, then don't do it.

Don't give Google free marketing info either - install your own server side stats...

Here's some ways Google collects information about your sites and/or your personal (or business) habits

                                  - google analytics
                                  - adsense
                                  - adwords
                                  - gmail
                                  - google search, with a long-held tracking cookie that gets presented for every search (and even if you delete it they could probably make a reasonable assumption that the search is still coming from you, or your computer)
                                  - if you have PR enabled, google toolbar phones home for every URL your browser loads
                                  - google answers
                                  - google maps
                                  - google books
                                  - google calendar
                                  - google finance
                                  - google groups
                                  - google pages (a bit like geocities for dummies)
                                  - picasa
                                  - youtube
                                  - blogspot
                                  - blogger
                                  - google web accelerator (hey, send every single web object your browser fetches through us... it will be faster! we won't look! promise!)

Even small amounts of data can help - through data matching - with the bigger picture.

                                          Of course Google will know

If you have the Googlebar installed too, it can gets to understand which sites you own.

Google doesn't rely on luck but facts.
