    I have a major dilemma here. What to do with a CAT! Meow. PICS - FOR REAL! :(

    Ok, so this morning I wake up to the most horrendous crying I have ever heard. Here is the dilemma. I LIVE ON THE SECOND FLOOR. 14 feet up! How the hell did a cat get on my balcony. The little guy has a collar mark from where he either lost it or some asshole has removed it and kicked him to the curb. I have already gone around and asked all my neighbors if he belongs to any of them. Nothing. The only other option is for me to turn him in and hope he doesn't get lethal injection at the pound. I am going to put up signs at the laundry and on all the neighbors doors. For now I am going to keep him and go buy some things to make him feel at home until his owner claims him or I give up on looking for them.

    How does a cat get on the second floor balcony with NO FRONT CLAWS?

    I may have to keep him. He is the friendliest cat ever. He's already claimed one of the leather sofas and is sound asleep as I write this.

    I think I will name him DANTE.

    What should I do? Seriously?

      What should you do? First thing is buy a better camera, those are some out of focus pics, man! Put some 'cat found' pics up at the local supermarket too if there is one close and keep looking for his owner. If no one claims him, you would be a good guy to give him a home.

                              yah man. it's the weirdest thing. how the hell does a cat with no claws get 14 feet up on a second floor balcony? its just not possible unless some asshole threw him up there on purpose. there are no stores anywhere near. i have already made signs and put them in the laundry and on all the neighbors doors in my bldg. he seems lost and lonely and like he wants to go home. keeps waking up and pacing all over my house. i hope someone comes looking for him.

                              he's a really cool cat.

                                                  Keep him! Kitty's are easy to take care of, they don't really even give a fuck if you are around or not. He will turn into your best little buddy if you let him, but he will for sure get the juice if you take him to the pound.

                                                              he jumped onto the roof from another balcony is my guess. i've had that happen before. one of my cats used to get on the roof and go to a fence on the other side to get down or back up. check with everyone that has a balcony in your builiding first and you may find the owner.

                                                                          This person has a point. Make sure you ask around and post pics in in the *adjacent* buildings, next to your building in case he jumped somehow from one roof or terrace to another.

                                                                              Black & white cats are my favorite. Definitely put up a few signs in your neighborhood, don't take him to the pound.

                                                                              If nobody claims him, and you don't want him, check to see if you have any 'no kill' pet shelters in your city, and see if they have room.

                                                                              You may just find that he'll grow on you though, and you won't want to give him up. They can be great pets for people that work from home, they require much less attention than dogs (usually).
