Yeah JT maybe you should not have had an open affiliate program. But the point is that you do have one and you have all sorts of affiliates now (or you did). That means you have a responsibility to act accordingly. It could probably be argued in some jurisdictions that what you have done constitutes FRAUD. I completely agree that you are not affiliate friendly. That is why I stayed far away from you in addition to your past history with tube sites.
For the people who say "Oh! It's his site so he should be able to put up popups to in-house only site X!" That is fine. I agree and all but he needs to keep it off the affiliate tour. This is a very very basic thing other [honest] sponsors have figured out for the last decade and a half. It's not like this is some new idea. Failing this he needs to at least notify his affiliates that he will be stealing their traffic without additional compensation. Failure to do this basically makes him either a thief or incompetent. Or perhaps both.
