        if you are asking black americans... yes one, my mortgage broker, who was born in Compton, CA, and no, he doesn't visit me at home.

        Everyone else, are Haitian, Nigerian, Jamaican. and Cuban. My best friend is black, but he is CUBAN... so do I consider any of the above black? I don't even think about it.

                                                                Yes, I have a few. I used to invite them over but currently we don't live in the same states so I guess you could say I don't have any local black friends. I do keep in touch with my friends so in the future I will invite them over if we are ever in the same location or if they come to visit. I can understand people not having any though, I grew up in a very white neighborhood.

                                                                                    I live in Toronto and it's one big multi-cultural stew. Most people here have friends of all races, Asian, Hispanic, Black, Indian, Middle Eastern, European, unless they have language issues. Then they mostly stay in their own cultural groups (if they don't speak English). Everyone just seems to get along very well.

                                                                                        Isn't a friend is more than an invite to supper? However, if that's the criteria, then yes, I've had friends of many hues. Oddly, there never seems to be very many non-white ppl our social circles.

                                                                                        I've enjoyed getting to know the black neighbors I've had since moving to Texas- but I grew up in, or moved to, middle class, primarily white neighborhoods, all of my life. Not planned, just happened that-a-way.

                                                                                        The city I live in now is less than 19% minority w/ at least 60% of that, Latino. Cull out the college kids' spots, which are more mixed- and the clubs will all be pretty much race specific. Not much chance to find friendships in either culture - when you work from home, and don't do the bars. But ya neva know, when you like about kinda human.
