A lot of non-US or Canadian countries list prices this way.

As for the DVD costs, $50 for Pirates is pretty good, when it first came out I remember seeing it in stores for $80.

Those movies have a budget of about 20X the normal porn shoot if not more, so wholesale price is probably in the $20+ range where most porn is at $6 to $8 (high end stuff is 16 wholesale) this is ultra high end. ???????? Are you serious about the comma thing? that's pretty standard procedure outside of North America as has already been stated. The more sensible way is to understand what you are looking at before commenting on it. Think about it...why would a comma come before 2 numbers? 18,58 can only mean 18.58 because 1858 with a comma would be 1,858.

But onto the original discussion. I have no idea who is paying upwards of $60 for a porn DVD. I guess people who haven't heard that they have the interweb on computers yet. And I really don't get the blu-ray thing. You would think the only people buying those are the people really in to tech and those ppl know about the interweb.

Last time I checked, Quebec was part of North America and also we use comma for decimal. For example: 18,58$
And we use a space between to denote thousands such as: 18 800$
