It's a fantastic idea, and one that I'm surprised took this long to come around. Bikes are lighter and smaller, so batteries can be smaller too and therefore charge faster too. This bike can also go from 0 to 100 in only 4 seconds. Very impressive.

Probably cost the same to have electric.

A rough estimate says you pay about $19.25 to travel 200 miles. (Average price of gas in the US is $3.85 X 5 Gallons which is I think is the capacity of your tank). You are spending 233% more to fuel your current bike than the Harley Davidson electric bike. (The average cost of electricity in the US is 12 cents per kilowatt hour, and the average price of gas in the US today is $3.85 per gallon (which will probably go up now thanks to the new turmoil in Iraq, argh). I haven't found the specs for the bike except that the electric motor delivers 10Khw and that it charges in about 30 minutes to 1 hour) , but my 15Khw car costs me only 6 cents per hour per to charge, and takes 3-4 hours.)

If you mean the charge, you're probably right, but hopefully it will be at least 150 miles or so.
