There are a lot of things that SHOULD be done and never are. Most programs never recognize the smaller webmasters that only send in a few sales a month, but are usually the ones that are the push over the top for the monthly goals. Without that 1 or 4 sales the program may not have made the goal.

Something I have tried to change in EpicCash.

There are teams of contest whores who work in shifts. You will always see the same 3 to 4 posters bumping the threads at the same time.

Everyone of those losers are a total joke. If they put so much effort into doing something else in this business as they do in trying to hit a certain post number then they might make something of themselves.

Ding ding, best suggestion yet. In addition, they must meet the minimum payout on their own sales in order to get paid out the contest winnings in their account. I agree most of the contest whores appear not to be webmasters and are probably just surfers who stumbled upon gfy or were told about it from other surfers.

and the contest holders let them win so that there threads keep getting bumped.

The last time I did a contest where you had to be an active affiliate or signup for an account with proof that your a webmaster noone wanted to win.

Ya it's pretty frustrating. I ran a promo in April and I would have thought more people would be interested in increased payouts. I mean they were more than double but the tread would be off the first page faster than I could take a piss. Makes me wonder how many people are here to make money and how many are here just to waste some time.

I love being able to put those threads on ignore now. I loaded up gfy on another computer and was shocked at how many there were. Not seeing them anymore has been bliss.

I use the fire fox plugin and ignore all contest threads I think more and more real webmasters are doing this!

If the sponsors only knew that they are a team of outsourced posters that aren't involved in the industry at all,I'm sure they would do something.
But like stated I think all they want is the exposure

Not really. They don't care who gets the money so long as they get a thread with a big ass title that stays on the first page for a month or 3.

I think GFY should ban contest threads and just give companies stickies at a better rate. I mean most of these contest threads are nothing more than a way to get a sticked thread. Figure GFY could make the money instead of contest whores.

Yes its been tough to keep our promo thread on the first page. We could have made it a contest thread but we would rather pay our affiliates and not someone posting on the board for no reason but contest threads.
