    GTA IV... PS3 or Xbox 360?

    Any preference to which console your getting GTA IV on? I have both pre-ordered at EB games but i think its the $5 one so I can just roll it into another game that i wont ever play.

    Im leaning towards the PS3 since I played Vice City non stop on the PS2 and used to the controller config. Although I heard there is some online game play and Xbox live blows the PS3 network away

              I already have the xbox version and its awesome...although there probably isnt much diff. 360 version will have new content eventually so if everything else is even go for the 360

                  PS3 = more technically sound.

                      360 by far. PS3 is just a DVD player with a weird looking remote.

                          I'm grabbing it for the 360.

                          Comparatively, the PS3 does have a bit of an edge graphics wise, but nothing much you'd notice unless it was side-by-side.

                          Both have online up to 16 players, but XBL is still more fleshed out than PSN; plus XBL is much larger in playerbase.

                                                                      The new pro models have HDMI too, not just the elite models.

                                                                      Strangely enough the PS3 version looks a little better, but they had to make the game run in 630P to get it to run properly on the PS3.

                                                                      The 360 version runs in true 720P, but it suffers from some texture pop-in problems.

                                                                                              alright enjoy the game next year with a SLIGHT improvement of graphics...but tons of crashing ect.


                                                                                              GTA 4 looks really good...there is so much going on some of the background stuff is only "okay" but if all you want are graphics go watch a pixar movie...this is all about gameplay

                                                                                                      ALL models of the 360 now have HDMI even the Arcade version. No such thing as 630p I'm not sure what retarded source you got that from.

                                                                                                      They're both basically the same. I suggest if you have a PS3 get that version if you have an XBOX 360 you get that version. If you have both then I suggest you get a life and spend less time and money on games.

                                                                                                          630P basically means the game's native resolution is 1120 X 630 resolution, then it is upscaled by the console, since that is not a standard HD resolution. Google it. Lots of games are being released with lower than 720P native resolution, then being upscaled, since the consoles just don't have enough horsepower to handle full HD resolutions natively, (depending on the game)

                                                                                                          The retarded source is beyond3d forums, which were also the ones to show that Halo3 was not rendered in full 720P, which was later confirmed by Bungie.

                                                                                                              The PS3 version installs a few gigs worth of data to hard drive before you begin to play. That might make a slight difference for loading times. But I am not sure.

                                                                                                              I got the PS3 version, but I really don't think it matters which version you get.

                                                                                                                                                      Also, sounds like whatever network infrastructure Rockstar has setup for the PS3 version is maxed out today, with lots of PS3 players unable to connect.

                                                                                                                                                      Microsoft upgraded their network last week in anticipation of this, I think they learned from their mistakes with Halo 3 almost crippling Xbox Live due to the amount of people online.
