And this is an example of why I am not making a great living as a photographer anymore and trying my hand at launching my own site...
You used to need some mad skills to be a photographer... You needed a quality camera and quality lighting... If I did 2 or 3 shoots a week I could make a good living.
Not today!!
I have $10K worth of gear in a little camera bag and $5K worth of lighting in the garage that barely get's used...
The customers are liking the "Amateur" look I guess... and that makes it content that amateurs can shoot... 5 sets of the same girl & video is doable in a day no problem but it's a long day and I can't imagine many girls would do it for less than $200... I would not ask a girl to do a full day for less than $500 personally!!! Hell the makeup artist I have worked with get $200 for 2 hours....
