There are plenty of conservatives in the business (at least fiscal conservatives), but they don't speak up much and they tend to be more on the production end of things. They are executives and producers as well as number crunchers. They make many of the financial decisions behind a movie. Those in front of the camera tend to be more liberal, especially socially.

The reason most actors act and don't produce or run a studio is because they are better at acting than they are at handling budgets, raising money, and running businesses.
