    IM Heading To China For the Olympics! And to get our DAUGHTER!

    Some of you close to me in the Biz knew my wife and I were trying to adopt a daughter from China.. ITs been a very long and painful process for us both. Very long process.

    As of today, It's official. Our China Adoption has FINALLY (after over a year and a half) been processed. We are heading to China during the Olympics to get our Daughter and to see the Olympics.

    The wife is very very very excited. Myself like a typical guy, Im very excited, and Happy but im a bit scared as well. Was freaking out some yesterday. Im going to be dad.(again!) Its kinda scarry!


    On the lighter side of things, my wife knows im a bit freaked so I just negioated for myself more guys trips!! (she knows freedom or lack there of scares me)
    You should see the long list of negioations I got from her with our first born..

    Anything else I should ask for? I got a green light for the World Series of Poker again too.

    After that, we are Heading back to China!
    The Mother Land Baby! Adopting from the same Village my grandparents were from. I cant wait to go.

    Going to be a dad again. Pretty excited., happy, pumped up And scared all in one.


    And here I thought I wasnt scared of anything!

                              Our Daughter was left on the doorstep of the police station at 1 day old.

                                                  Yes it's very sad.. Sorry BP, wasn't trying to take a shot, just last night I watched an investigative reporting thing on the pollution in China, and how bad it really is. Mostly from mining plants apparently, and the government's antiquated ego where nothing matters to them but money. They're using that red water to irrigate their plants, then they eat the plants, get cancer, have growths all over them, it's nasty.

                                                  Also saw a study yesterday that suggests eating a good diet that's high in calories and potassium will cause a higher %% of boys to be born VS girls. Something like 57% to 43% in their study. Eating a few bananas every day prior to conception and during early pregnancy will highly increase your chances of having a boy apparently.

                                                  Good on you for doing all the necessary work to make this a reality. I have a 3 month old baby myself, and it's amazing!

                                                          We were inspired by the "smiles" program, a program which helps children around the world with cleft lip or cleft palate.. In 3rd world coutries this easily fixable disease is left untreated and the children go on living lives with facial deformity.

                                                          IF treated at an early age it is almost undetectable as an adult.


                                                          With my healthcare background along with my wife's as well as having the ability to afford plastic surgery and healthcare for a child we chose to go the Cleft lip/palate route.

                                                          This girl will be a princess here with us.. In China she would be left behind and a circus freak.. (shit you not)

                                                          Her life would be unimaginable. Not just as a female Orphan in China, but as a girl with a deformed face.

                                                              1 year is the best to get a kid at. Still easily impressionable but most of the up all night crap is out of the way. Congrats man glad to hear your helping a child in need and your family at the same time.

I was just over there visiting my sister and a friend of theirs said that they were only selling them via lottery to people who are residents of China.

                                                                                                                                                              Also the one child policy can be avoided by paying a small tax apparently. But it's still a huge problem there obviously. You are a good man for adopting.

With the Olympics and with all the shit the government over there is trying to hide its backlogged the whole system. Its up to a THREE YEAR wait right now..

Maybe next year this time and see if things have been speeding up. The whole system is on a hault right now.

Now its up to 3. However Im thinking that once the public eye is off China, they will start opening the doors again to the overpopulated hidden orphanages.
