Business Thread...Question to all of you.

I have to admit, we in the AVS/AEN business have been spoiled with our conversions.
The old days used to be 1:50 then 1:100 and now and then we still get 1:250 - 1:1000
Sales still come in at good ratio but of course, not as good as they used to.
What are some of your best conversions and from what sites?
I would love to hear what everyone is averaging and on what type of sites.

We are still seeing 1:250 to 1:500 with most paysite programs using our exclusive studio based webcams but in a number of tests with legal tube site traffic we have seen conversions as high as 1:30,000 to 1:50,000

Quality of traffic is still the key factor Dave.

coming from another side of the business and then a different industry in general, i don't remember those good old days, but i will say applying strategic sales and consumer psychology principals is very effective with the adult consumer opposed to other industries and businesses (biggest reason i'm even here).

from an affiliate side i don't do tgps, submit galleries or any of that other stuff but overall i'm converting 1:100 on top sponsors and with secondary sponsors i'm doing 1:300 with targeted se traffic and viral campaigns

from a sponsor standpoint which i'm tracking and analyzing as an outside party (both strengths and weaknesses) is that there is a need in aggressive marketing, sales and overall branding - the closing seems to be before any clicks happen...

in my opinion porn is still very fresh with a consumer base that parallels with population growth ...the consumer in adult is a very easy target when compared to others, there is so much opportunity in this side of the business especially if you can take other proven principals from outside industries and apply them effectively.

i can also tell you many pure mainstream program owners and traditional businesses are looking towards adult as there is an expected exodus with people merging or just non-adjustment/adaptation to the changes in this market....many are looking for the market gap...i am

Humm I always see people posting stats like 1 in 100 and shit and hollering how amazing such and such is doing for them.

So we got you talkin about 1 in 1000. I think that says alot for the truth of what people should expect in over all. If AVS is fuckin 1 in 1000 in some cases over all it's pretty much a sign that this industry is squeezing lemons.

But I have known this for quite some time.

So the next couple posts will be STFU alien you don't know shit sorta things.

I don't believe that conversions or revenue per click mean anything at all if you are going to compare it to the "good old days". The reality is that there are now millions and millions of teenagers and kids online AND there are billions of POOR people online.
10 years ago there were only a few people online and most of them were fairly affluent. Now that the unwashed masses are here...and all those teenage boys...Well, conversions are by their very nature gonna be COMPLETELY different than they used to be.
But the one number that I watch...is my bank account. And my revenue is still going up every year. That is how I gauge the "industry". If you use common sense and think about what I just said it explains a helluva lot. Including why tube traffic is worthless...it's a bunch of teenage boys and poor people with no credit card.
Remember...people have to be of age and have some money to be able to have a credit card to buy anything. But any 15 year old boy and/or low wage earner with no credit card adult can surf for free and fuck up the precious conversion ratios. Just pay attention to your income. That's the magic number.

And oh yeah...don't discount those teenagers and adults with no credit cards...they won't always be without a credit card. I've seen that happen over the years over and over. Those 15 year olds grow up. And those poor people earn credit. Then..if you are still around...you gain their business.

Michelle Lynn doesn't have a trial option. Amateur Upskirts and Pantyhose Amateurs both have a $9.95 3 day trial, but most of the sales for both are for the $34.99 monthly. And surprisingly quite a few of the trial members do go monthly since they get access to all the sites, and Michelle does 3 live webcam shows each week.

Have you consired using phone billing as an alternative paying method?

Using our system you do have a true worldwide billing option, combining SMS and regular phone billing into 1 platform, we are offering also weekly recurring sms in united kingdom which is converting very well.
One big concern we see normally is that program owners fear the surfers is getting ripped by being charged high for little access, to avoid problems like this, we made our system so you can fully customize the access the surfer is granted. You can define it in such a way so that if a user stays 5 minutes on a high cost number, he gets 10 days, or if he stays 5 minutes on a low cost number then he gets 1 day or X hours. Setting the price for your content is something you have the full freedom to do.

HELLZ YEAH AWESOME! with AEBN (it's incredible, for real)
1:343 with Teen Revenue
1:465 with SilverCash
1:568 with Radical Cash

Now this is for the entire year. Not a week or a month, but the year.
