Third party direct debit company who are an Authorised Payment Institution.
Surfer is directed to their signup page, surfer enters their bank details and x amount is debited from their account and sent to your account within 24/48 hours.
GoCardless are the trusted third party and they charge you 1% for authorising the transaction and you have much better control of your cashflow! That's about as straight forward and simple as you could hope for from a payment company.
I have my doubts that this will take off because it's a disruptive technology and makes the payment process cheaper and more efficient for everyone involved.
Bitcoin? No
Bitcoin is a great invention for sending money from point A to B quickly & cheaply, but widespread adoption by the general public as a currency? I can't see that happening.
