Her acne did in fact decrease, but that could happen anytime I would think.

I kind of think she liked facials and since she was self conscious about her skin, she simply
wished that facials were helping her.
But still, because she believes, she got a positive reaction. She feels better, therefore the body's self healing process kicks in.

Damn, that was a lot of words for me to just say I thought it was in her mind.
But, because it was in her mind it actually worked.
