George Bush is much like a suicide bomber in that he took control of the U.S.A. and flew it right into the ground.
People are having a tough time finding any remains from the crash. -

I have to say...I couldnt agree more. Does anyone have any faith in our presidential system anymore? Our government has fucked over its people more than ANY other country has fucked us over! Thats ludacris! Seriously. Here is where I stand- I am pro gun, pro choice, pro drugs. BUT when it comes down to it...I could care fucking LESS what the issues are, as long as we actually get a president who cares more about its people and making sure we survive the next 8 years happily than any other reason.
I am pulling for hilary clinton. and this is why (i know some of you are gonna jump down my throat for saying this) BUT.....No woman could or would ever fuck it up like Bush did. He had no clue what he was doing. And I dont say that because of the war- im not. The war is controversial. I say that because he kept our people there, didnt act when he should have, didnt pay attention, CANNOT EVEN TALK PROPER ENGLISH!!! come on people!
How he made it back as a president is just insane to me. and now my rant is over. oh yes, and this is just MY opinion- OPINIONS ARE LIKE ASS HOLES- EVERYBODY'S GOT ONE. I would like to hear everyone elses too!

It's tough to blame the people for voting for shitty Presidents. All candidates are more or less shit and there isn't much we can do about it. We don't elect our Presidents, not much different than Russia.Comment
-
I think a shitty president should be judged in a court of law. If he fucked us up (like George W. Drunk did) then lock that S.O.B. up for 40 years. That will keep the criminals (like George W. Dumb) from even wanting to run for president.
At this point, there is NO reason any moron wouldn't want to be the President.
No matter how stupid they are, there is NO accountability. Fucxk!!!Comment

George W. Bush flew this country right into the ground. I'm not sure if he was wearing a taliban head band, but he was the one flying us into the ground . . . . that is for sure.Comment

Ok we all know Bush fucked us all. But what do you plan on doing to fix it? Voting for someone who wants to tax/print/borrow spend more than Bush did or vote for someone who does not want to withdraw troops and tax/print/borrow to pay for it? Not much of a choice to fix this problem.

Not true, if you guys pick the next president incorrectly it will get worse, a lot worseAny change at this time will be a good thing!
. No one, no matter who is elected will turn this mess around quickly. You are looking at a 10 year plan at best. Better make sure you choose a person with enough experience to do the job and not just because you like them. Liking them isn't going to fix this shit !!!

Doesn't matter the people are not going to decide the next president for these simple facts;
1. For a party that wants "every vote counted" sure does exclude FL and MI voters.
2. Who cares what the people want lets give "super" delegates votes because they are VIP(s)

All i said was shut up im sick of this shit.
Yeah he wasnt the greatest president but do you REALLY THINK al gore would have handled it better? Bush got put into office at a shitty time.
So while you all hate on him because it's the thing to do.. YOU reconsider the events that happened.

You can't vote for change in this country since we don't technically elect our President. We have no say in who can run either. It's like Russia's system but with better public relations.Comment

Bush always represented the people he cared about. And himself. While the rest of the US and with it the World go into recession he and his band have done enough to to make sure they arer the least effected.
Look at these stats and compare them with the rest of the country.
Yes while many of you struggle and lose your jobs and home these guys will be fine. For them he was the best President ever.Net worth of the wealthiest 1% $186 billion $816 billion
Number of billionaires 186 415
Their combined wealth $816 billion $3.5 trillion
Average salary of top 500 corp CEOs in 2007 $15.2 million
In 2006, buyout mogul Henry Kravis paid himself $51,400...an hour.
Bush tax cuts to the top 1% 2001-2007 $546 billion [/B]Comment

You got a good point Paul. The problem here is people vote against their own best interests. People making 40k a year listening to the right wing pundits and talking about raised taxes and death tax. These things really have nothing to do with them but they have been lead to believe it does. They are paying up the ass for health care but believe a democrat is voted in, national health care will be the down fall of us all. Which is funny when you considered the US isnt even close to highest for life expectancy and is high in baby deaths.its very sad.Bush always represented the people he cared about. And himself. While the rest of the US and with it the World go into recession he and his band have done enough to to make sure they arer the least effected.

I watched Sicko and was amazed at how it missed the point. Over and over Michael Moore want on about how people were missing out on health care because they did not have health insurance. He even came to the UK to interview people. Yet still missed the point. You got a good point Paul. The problem here is people vote against their own best interests. People making 40k a year listening to the right wing pundits and talking about raised taxes and death tax. These things really have nothing to do with them but they have been lead to believe it does. IMO What he missed was the cost of health care for some in the US and compare it with the cost of health care for all in the the UK or any other modern EU country and high light why it's different.
How much does the average American and employer pay for health care for them self and probably their family compared to the average Brit, Dane or German? What do they get and where does the money go?
I can compare two brothers in the 1980s and 1990s, both very senior executives in major companies, both very highly paid. One paying for health care through an insurance company, for himself and his family only, the other paying it to the National Health scheme for himself, family and the poor.
Then compare after a life time of paying one is still covered for health care, even though he's retired and no longer paying. The other will lose his health care the day he stops paying in.
No need to rack your brain who paid the most for his health care.
The other point Michael Moore missed was health care in the EU is not free. We pay for it, if we can, all our working lives. It's free at the point of delivery. My point is which one cost the less and delivers the most?Last edited by Paul Markham; 04-19-2008, 10:29 PM.Comment

You guys try to hard to sound like you've seen it all, done it all... there is a HUGE difference between the democratic and the republican parties. There is a HUUUUUUUUUGE difference between Al Gore and George Bush. Don't assume that everyone else is too dim to see it simply because you're incapable of even the most obvious discrimination.Comment

The House of Representative and the Senate switched from Republican control to Democrat control in January of 2007. Since these parties are "so far apart", why hasn't anything changed in 15 months? Still funding the war, still funding pork barrell spending, and still not investigating any of the corrupt bullshit that took place the previous 6 years.Comment

While I think our health care system is fucked up beyond belief, that isn't the only reason we have a shitty life expectancy. This country is plain unhealthy. We have a lot of people dying young from heart problems. Dying from issues related to diabetes. Walk the streets in any of the countries that are above us and you won't find the same kind of weight issues you see here.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ife_expectancy

Scaring article.
I can't help thinking that 50% of the country actually voted for this guy. I still remember it as a day of sorrow here in Denmark.
I cannot believe how people can be stupid enough to vote for a guy instead of his politics, it makes no sense to me at all. It seems sad and ignorent to me.
I also hate thsi election campaign because it's the same bullshit. It should not come down to which person who does it best in the press, it should come down to which person who have the best chance of making a solid 10 year plan of how to get USA back on it's feet.ICQ# 143561781Comment

I just saw on the news the Clinton camp is concerned she is running out of money and will not be able to advertise and campaign as much as Obama. Who it seems is getting the backing he needs.
When the election of the leader of the most powerful country in the world is even slightly effected by the amount of money he/she has to spend on advertising we all have to worry.
Are the companies donating the money doing it for no influence in return? Only in a dream world, otherwise the money would not be moving. It moves to the person who offers the most favours. Big business does not like to donate, it invests.
Are the electorate so politically uneducated they can be swayed by marketing men and an advertising campaign? On the evidence of the last President getting voted in I would say that is the most scary. Because if the big companies do have too much control, it's the voters job to put into power the right man.Comment

Bush is undeniably the worst president ever... the one thing i dont understand about this is why is it not mandatory for the U.S president to have served for his country but can send his whole army to fight when he's never even fought himself. I think thats a huge issue.Icq - 403858640

My entire life...from city...county...state and federal elections...it has always been the one that spends the most money...is the one elected to office (with very few exceptions). The reason for this is obvious (advertising does work) and the Supreme Court has previously ruled that money (donations) is considered to be free speech. It's worse than that.
I just saw on the news the Clinton camp is concerned she is running out of money and will not be able to advertise and campaign as much as Obama. Who it seems is getting the backing he needs.

None of the three candidates...in my opinion...are the "right man"...but then again in my opinion none of the candidates that originally entered the race were the "right men". The "right men" are not going to run for the Presidency because they do not want to enter into the circus that the media always has and always will make of it. Thus one is left with the poor choices.
Big donors/lobbyists get the attention/meeting with the President/Staff but it does not gaurantee that they will have their way. During the Clinton Presidency there were major hearings/scandals into contributions. As one of the big donors...that testified...stated his donation bought him a meeting with the President...but he was denied his way. He did go onto say...laughingly...that next time maybe he should double his donation and see what that would buy him. This is our system and has been my entire life time...flawed though it may be.When you're running down my country hoss...you're walking on the fighting side of me!
