I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

Best program I've used for this, multi folder processing on it rocks.

                  1) Run it
                  2) Select the thumbs or whole folders of pics you want to watermark
                  3) Press F3
                  4) Set the output format (compression level etc) and output path (the overwrite possibility is also available)
                  5) Click "Advanced Options->Text" and add some watermark text you want as well as it's font, color, position etc
                  6) Click "Ok" and then "Start"

                  That's it.

P.S. If you need a watermark as a picture (transparent .png-s are also supported btw), you have to choose "Advanced Options->Watermark" instead or "Advanced Options->Text"

Nope you can't. Batch operations in Photoshop are fucked up. Try to watermark about 20K of pictures in nested folders with Photoshop and you will see what I'm talking about.

Also Photoshop is not free but Fast Stone is

Why was tagging images NOT included as a batch process in Fireworks CS3 from Adobe?
