for clubs don't know .... best country for festivals is Germany during the summer, South Africa is great also.
Brazil has a growing scene and if you're hardcore Peru has some wicked parties in places like the "Sacred valley of the Incas" etc.
Also Portugal has been on the up and up the past few years not to mention the island Koh Phangan in Thailand that has a couple of outdoor parties going on every week.
But as I said, for clubs ... not sure, I just do the outdoor parties/festivals.

for trance holland is where its at... try to catch sensation (preferably white but black is good also) i hear sensation is having events outside of holland so might wanna google that and see ....
trance is great music

Haha! Well theres a huge festival in downtown LA with a bunch of big names, i don't know exactly when it is but thats always a good one and happens every year. Most of the Hollywood clubs I've been to are more rap with a little house, not too much trance around these parts. Other than that I always hear that Ibiza is amazing (have a few live sets on my computer atm). Sensation shows are pretty good too. If all else fails go to http://www.di.fm/

believe it or not Atlanta is great for trance, we get all the dj's mentioned in this thread on a regular basis, the only difference is we don't have lines at the clubs and instead of having to deal with 2000-3000 other people in the club you usually only have to deal with 1k or so (some only fit 500 people), which I love
i hate huge crowds at clubs, i much prefer a small intimate club

go ventures and insomniac through huge parties in downtown LA, with 20,000+ plus, there is together as one, electric daisy festival, monster massive, nocturnal wonderland, and some more which i cant think of the top of my head
i know in netherlands, there is trance energy which is huge for trance
