I love the content, but...

Your colour scheme/layout is all over the place. Pick some colours that go well together.

I'm thinking of a more "industrial/machined steel" type layout. Stainless steel, gunmetal gray, etc., etc., followed by your text in a pale yellow.

Other than that, I would move your banners over to the side, under your links.
