Ok, somebody recommended this, and on the face of things it looked very good.
They offer Video on Demand, and a whitelabel for it. Well customizable from a web interface, nats powered, so it seemed all sweet and I decided to give it a try.
One minor point, namely, that the highlight text color you can choose, however, it has to go on two different sets of backgrounds, one you can modify, the other you can't, it;'s a sort of greyish thing. I suppose this can turn out to be a pain, but I managed to circumvent it. Designed a nice logo, etc.
So far, I'm about 3 hours of work invested into trying out this sponsor, so like 50 bucks. (not MY work). They send me an email saying the whitelabel is confirmed, and a link to it.
It looks really snappy, so I send traffic.
Few hours later, whoop-dee-doo... It doesn't track anything. So that traffic's lost.
So I pull the links, and I inquire with their support. At this point, I have no idea what's going on, total rip off artists ? Something went wrong accidentally ? I fucked up the codes ?

O well, I think, I found a hole in their system. Hey, things happen. Not that they should, but they do.
I check the new link, IT DOES NOT WORK. Instead of redirecting to my whitelabel, it redirects to their main site. And obviously NOT MY NATS CODES. Yuck.
So I email back, at which point the woman asks for my password.
What the hell ? But anywya, I change the pw to something inocuos, and give her that.

So, she gives me yet another URL.
I check it. This time it seems to work. So I figure, heck, okay, their slow day today. I plug it, it works, it tracks, I go to bed.
The next morning, on a lark, I check.
Get this. The url NO LONGER GOES TO MY WHITELABEL, but back to their main site, like before. NATS wiped, like before.
See, so at this point, it becomes clear to me what's going on. Links may not work, things may fuck up, accidents do happen. Sure. However, things that work at night don't just stop working by themselves.
So I send them a polite email telling them I'm not impressed, and an invoice, for the traffic they've received, but not counted cca 95$. Nothing for worktime they wasted, or for my aggravation, etc.
To the first, the response comes
and respectively
So here's your salary Kristin :

Far as I'm concerned, Yappo needs to fire whoever is doing this shit and hire actual people.
That's all.

This link does not track clicks. We have updated the system so that clicks are counted, but this would be the URL to use. [gives me new url]
I apologize, I need to get the email that gets sent out the webmasters updated.

Okay I see what happened ... it's when I go in as an admin and create it for you. I have to log in as the person and create it for them.
Sorry, the linking code thing is kinda new and we built an external system for this and made it work with NATS.
This is your link, I tested it and all works good : )

It's because you are using the wrong link code. You have it linked up to this: (yet another url)
That's funny.
Did you want to pay my salary for the time you wasted of mine?
