With Roboform, your passwords are encrypted on your own computer (and you have the option to sync via their cloud to all of your computers, devices, smartphone, etc. if you choose to use their sync function, but it is not required). Also, your passwords database can be protected by a Master Password.

For example, when I put my computer into sleep mode, or close out the browser, the next time I go to a site that has my logins stored, I can NOT click the login now link on the roboform toolbar unless I enter my master password. You have to do this once per session. So, rogue employees are nullified so long as you don't give them your Master Password and you close out your browser session when you leave your desk, OR, place your computer into sleep mode while you are away.

It really is great software and, in my opinion, in a class by itself compared to the others out there.
