    Looking for a live video streaming solution (live2many)

    Hey guys,

    I'm looking for a server side app for video streaming, and as well an easy way for somebody to connect to it and stream from his webcam, anybody has some ideas to share? I have looked at 5-6 options but all are too cheap or overkill. Here's some features that I am interested in:
    • Group chat (optional)
    • Video Recording
    • Configurable for HD
    • Total customization


    That would be a good start. A good idea of what I'm looking for is like chaturbate without all the features of profiles, tips etc.

                      Hi iwiiiiiiiiii,

                      Sorry - I didn't recognize the name...!

                      As per our conversation via email earlier, the current version of LiveCamNetwork encapsulates the video window and chat into one app (See Screenshot on this page). You can disable the chat and keep the video for example, but only the next version due in mid May will let you hide the chat window.

                      As for the features you included in this post:
                      • Group chat? Included. (See it here)
                      • Video Recording? Included. (See it here)
                      • Configurable for HD? Included. (See it here)
                      • Total customization? Included! (LCN is very customizable)

                      From the emails you have sent to us, it sounds like all you want to do is stream live video to multiple users, without any kind of user chat or signup process. If this is all that you need, you don't need a 3rd party service like us. You could instead purchase your own server from Adobe or Wowza for example and stream everything directly. Setup can be a little technical but if its beyond you there are probably others on GFY that are doing the same thing so maybe someone would be able to help you.

                          You did not specified if streaming should be adult content or not, if public or access only to who is member. If not adult and public, there's even google hangouts on air, over youtube live:

                          Of course if you want adult & members only, you need custom script.

                                  There are many scripts or solutions out there. But if you dont want something cheap and full of bugs you might have to get it developed specially for your needs !!!

                                      I have been looking into Kaltura seems it can do much of that on a regular server with the use of red5 mediaserver... with the exception of incoming connections such as that for cam2cam. I was not looking for these features so for all I know there is an option.
