    Remembering passwords.

Say you had to think on the spot what your password is for a certain site you use. Whether it's adult, paypal, ebay, anything. And you have so many different ones you use you can't think.

Yet as soon as you click onto that site, at the box you enter your pass, it comes to you instantly.

I've been noticing myself doing this more and more lately. It's like your brain recognises the site page, so gives you the password for it. Yet a moment before you had clicked, it was gone completely.

I'm like that with people's names.

As long as that person is in the environment (work/school) I know them from...I can come up with their name right away. But take that person out-of-context - and I often can't think of their name.

I don't know how on Earth I do it, one day I'll forget them all...Actually, it's only my fingers that know them, I don't remember most of my passwords, but my fingers remember the movements required to type them

I'm shit with names in general. Whether they are present in the room or not. It's just blank for me sometimes.

Try KeepassX, much better than lastPass, and keep a backup every other day on a microSD card.

Yeap, I've got a password that's about 40 characters long but easy to remember and all site passwords are unique that are stored in my vault. DONE.

I've been using RoboForm for more than a decade. I've tried some of the others, including the various browser add-ons, but none of them compare to RoboForm (my opinion). Well worth the money, as are their other products.

I was notorious for using the same password for everything and eventually a handful of people figured it out.... I'm not telling anyone what my "system" for passwords is, but I have a different password for everything.

I don't know any of my passwords for anything. I create a new password for everything using strongpasswordgenerator.com then save it in the browser and keep it movin with my life. If I end up deleting browser data or using a new device or something I just click "forgot password" and make a new one.

You guys are all such idiots, I use post it notes stuck to the monitor, really sensitive passwords are on a sheet of paper under the keyboard (no one ever looks there)

protip: after a few years the sticky on post it notes gets kind of weak so use scotch tape to re-stick it.

Also, 123456 is pretty easy to guess so I use 654321 for extra security.
                                                      - As soon as I think up a good sig it's going here.

With Roboform, your passwords are encrypted on your own computer (and you have the option to sync via their cloud to all of your computers, devices, smartphone, etc. if you choose to use their sync function, but it is not required). Also, your passwords database can be protected by a Master Password.

For example, when I put my computer into sleep mode, or close out the browser, the next time I go to a site that has my logins stored, I can NOT click the login now link on the roboform toolbar unless I enter my master password. You have to do this once per session. So, rogue employees are nullified so long as you don't give them your Master Password and you close out your browser session when you leave your desk, OR, place your computer into sleep mode while you are away.

It really is great software and, in my opinion, in a class by itself compared to the others out there.
