From what I understand of the proof of work involved with Scrypt, that is not the case. What are your hash rates per card? I'd venture to say that they are very near someone using a Sempron 145 and 2GB of RAM. You can likely save yourself a lot of money by not buying unnecessary components. Ask yourself: if everyone else is doing something one way, and I'm breaking that trend, is it because I figured out a better way, or because I'm wrong?

Got 6 bad/fried R9 290X cards on RMA
I run mine at 45% fan and 75C-80C, so that they can last for years without issues. In a datacenter, the environment is VERY different than at home -- the cold aisle / hot aisle cooling keeps my cards nice and chilly, the fans just move a bit of air across the surface components.

He doesn't even understand the difference between what he posted and the R9 290's in my rigs, how can you expect him to understand model numbers? There's a reason those who can do, and those who can't troll. It's a lost cause.
