The same reason I can order an iPhone case for $1 with free shipping sometimes but I may have to wait 1-2 months before I get it. Orders accumulate to the point where a profit margin is met and they arrive to the states in bulk.

How bad is the quality and sizing? And can you get around the customs duties usually?

                                                                                                                                                      The prices are insanely low, I see costumes I've paid 60 dollars for on Chinese wholesale sites for 7.99.

                                                                                                                                                                  I got these bikinis through an eBay vendor, shipped direct from China for $5.95 apiece, free shipping and no customs or duties. They came direct through the mail in a medium sized envelope. I got all ten bright solid colors that they had. I think the quality is pretty good for what I'm using it for- photosets & porn videos. Sure beats the $14.98 per piece x two pieces plus tax or approx. $32 per bikini set that one would pay at Target. I buy my regular young girls clothes like skirts, tops, jeans, dresses etc locally though. I don't really use slutwear "costumes" for girl-next-door photography.
