IE:
The public argues over who is the good guy and who is the bad guy. (dummies)

They would have otherwise normally been horrified to even consider discussing the possiblity of doing.

IE: Hey the attention whore sociopath is starting to make sense... Perhaps we should go on a killing spree and make him rich. Or at the least show our support by being racists.

And the truth is if you were born in Nazi Germany you wouldn't have said shit about anything and done what you were told to do like everybody else. This is how humans evolved and survived. We are improving, there is less bloodshed on this planet than any time in human history.
