Edward Snowden: Here's How We Take Back the Internet

TED Talks interview w/ Edward Snowden:

            Mar 18, 2014:

Appearing by telepresence robot, Edward Snowden speaks at TED2014 about surveillance and Internet freedom. The right to data privacy, he suggests, is not a partisan issue, but requires a fundamental rethink of the role of the internet in our lives ? and the laws that protect it. "Your rights matter," he say, "because you never know when you're going to need them." Chris Anderson interviews, with special guest Tim Berners-Lee.

Snowden might technically be a criminal for what he did, however what he did was the right thing. He was also right to run, given what happened to Manning. He would have been locked up called a terrorist and placed in solitary confinement with no rights until the govt could convict him and toss away the key saying he was too dangerous to let the public hear what he had to say. He would have never been given his day in court. Everything would have been classified and he would have had no public voice, just like Manning didn't.

I certainly support him for what he did.

                    Manning should have been executed.

Manning was wrong in how he did it, but how the govt treated him was far beyond what should of happened and represented a major change in how the govt dealt with whistle blowers. Hence the reason Snowden was right to run..

On a side note - why do so many gay people have "that voice"? I am talking about the voice of that dude from the video.
