so... total investment about $580 and its also a pretty decent camera to toss in your pocket (without the accessories attached of course) and use above water, although not as nice as say a small sony or olympus digital camera

Not a bad investment at all! One of my old buddies who used to dive a lot told me to plan on spending at least a couple of grand on a good underwater camera. $600 isn't bad at all

And the pictures turned out great!
