Based on reputation alone and assuming all this is true, wtf is Paywit thinking...
I write articles often for news media outlets. If someone asks not to be included in a story, I politely move along and come back to them for other future stories. I could see it if this was News, but this is at best an editorial "case study" about a company that doesn't want to be included in one. Not only is this kind of behavior by Xmediatrends idiotic from a journalistic point of view, it's a horrifically bad business move to start threatening the people you hope to interview. I am so glad I have nothing to do with that publication. I'm also troubled if someone is scraping adult boards for quotes to be used in publications that damage the ability of adult boards to get thoughtful people to participate.
Did you mention this to Theo/Eric/etc ?
