Porn has scenes that people don't like.
How many times do you see a mainstream movie and think there were 3 scenes in it that you could have skipped?

There is a reason taht people who make porn are in porn even the ones that profess to be making "real movies"
The truth is that if they could make real movies they would be making real movies very few people in porn have even a basic knowledge of character arcs, color palattes and film basics and as a result they can make a porn scene but they cant make anything erotic
Now in defense of most of us porners myself included Im/we are not trying to make a real film when we make porn, is there a market for very high end story driven erotica...no doubt that there is but I cant think of anyone in porn that has the ability to do it.Mike South

The movie it is worth watching (including 10 minutes lesbian scene) but... most of the movie is made of "face of Adele". Especially at least 15 minutes you see her eating something, other 15 minutes she sleeping, ok she is cute but I would have cut most of the eating and sleeping scenes, even I understand voyeur fetish value would be then limited.

Oh yes, the "Blue Is the Warmest Colour" movie was made by a guy with a muslim name. Here it makes sense: it's another hint that's the french "vivre ensemble" is promoted. While in USA you seem to live in communities, here we are supposed to be one nation, so people with no real differences...

I think if you made a porn movie with real actors, real writers, a real story and a real budget it could be pretty amazing but those people would likely not agree to do it.
I guess my point is its unfair to compare the two. They are not the same thing, they don't have the same ingredients (though they may superficially seem to) and they don't serve the same purpose.- As soon as I think up a good sig it's going here.Comment

In actual fact there is some cross over. Some porn players have acted in main stream films, the french film romance for example.
Some porn movies have higher budgets that mainstream, and I have met models who can act.
It is the whole culture that puts itself in a ghetto.
