I think everyone, and i mean EVERYONE in America knows it. Yet another huge production is a cheap trick to cash in and get oscars. Side effect is that yet again the emphasis is put on differences of skin color and keep dividing people instead of looking at the future. Like WW2 movies in Europe, I automatically skip those when new ones come because we get hammered with it here all the time. We know, old news, move on, be creative for once in a while.Comment

Although I don't agree that WW II shouldn't be remembered, in most cases these movies are way too pathetic to enjoy for those who have real interest in WW II, as they in most cases tend to paint heroes, victims and villains in very much one dimensional fashion and in most cases also spin and bend historical facts.
I'm regarding as one of the few exceptions for example:

According to this study, there are an estimated 30 million people living in slavery worldwide. About 60,000 of them are here in the US.
I think it is safe to say there are still sections of society the suffer from slaver and sections that benefit from it.Comment
