I have directv in 8 different rooms on the whole home dvr. I'm not sure how many shows I can tape at once but I have 400 shows recording it seems and watch none of them. I end up watching netflixs bitching that I have nothing to watch. -
Mine will only record two at a time, but I have to be either watching one of them or have the tv shut off.
Otherwise it's only one at a time
so stfu and enjoy it

Do you need a DVR that can record ten shows at once? That depends on if you have kids or not.
There is one night that two of my shows over lap with two of my kid's shows so it's a bit of a problem. I'm not sure why; She has her own TV and DVR....Herschel Savage

Whole home dvr is the shit. Mine can do up to 6 at once. Rare that I have that many recordings going at once, but nothing is worse than a night where there IS a bunch of overlaps and you have to miss somethng because your dvr can't handle it.Promote Wildmatch, ImLive, Sexier.com, and more!!
