    They LOST the Olympic Torch!!!!!!!!

    Where else would it happen but SF!

    SAN FRANCISCO -- The Olympic torch relay descended into chaos Wednesday, dashing organizers' hopes that the event would go off smoothly as a celebration of the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing. Shortly after the torch was lit on a podium overlooking San Francisco Bay, the first runner in the elaborately planned relay disappeared into a warehouse on a waterfront pier. Some time later, a convoy of vehicles emerged from the warehouse, but it was not clear whether the torch was in one of them. Shortly thereafter, television images showed the runner getting off a bus on Van Ness Ave., far from the originally planned route.

                              This is sad that people have nothing better to do then to protest the Olympic torch. How the fuck did this become such a fiasco. The Olympics are not about political turmoil they are about games and competing. You want to protest then get your own dam soap box and shout as loud as you want. All these protesters are doing is running the spirit of the games. China got the Olympics "DEAL WITH IT"!

The values they represent are in stark contrast with the reality in their host country, and this is the very best opportunity to draw attention to what's going on, with the best chances of generating international pressure.
