    Is there still a superpower?..

With all that's going on I was wondering if there is still a 'Super Power' - It appears that things have balanced out - That must be a good thing?..

That makes me yearn for Empire.

      We were bigger than Russia!

As a Brit it hurts seeing Germany in that list - I see what you are saying though...

Germany is not a superpower. A superpower is based on "military and economic strength", and Germany is a bit lacking there with military strength....

However, we might want to consider the EU as a superpower at this point, and perhaps India in the near future.

As the EU has developed I have always been amazed that others are shocked that it has not been 100% smooth...

Of course it was messy - We were told in the beginning there would be casualties like Greece and Ireland - It was not a shock.....

For the Americans - Imagine America has 50 states and they speak different languages - They have different currencies - They all have their own immigration and passport systems - Welcome to Europe just a few years ago...

EDIT: What was my point again?....

They'll bulk up if they need to. They've done it before
