People on Reddit seem strange. If you ask them to pay for something they get offended, but it you can do it in a way where you make them feel like they decided to pay for it on their own they will.
For example. A guy does an AMA about a new book he released and gets bashed endlessly for trying to promote his book. A few weeks later a guy does an AMA joking about how poorly a book he has released has done and makes fun of himself and he ends up selling several hundred copies and people love him.Comment

Well looks like we buck the trend, each time we post to reddit we get about 5,000 hits and one or two sales. Even when we don't post reddit usually sends about 10,000 hits a week. We're very careful with what / how we post though.Comment
