I think convincing the companies like Penthouse/AFF and ImLive etc to freeze the major offending tube sites affiliate accounts and refuse to pay until they clean up their sites etc would be the best thing that could happen in this case.
The law can't do anything, companies can. If enough of the major players convinced these dating sites that working with us rather than against us was in their best interests, maybe something actually happens. If enough legit webmasters agreed to remove AFF ads for example from their sites, maybe they'd lose even more business than the tubes send.
It's an unfair playing field, and if they want the legit traffic, maybe they'll have to surrender to our demands. A petition of accounts who would agree to remove links by X date might speak louder than any other argument.Comment

Wrong... Laws can do a lot here. It is against the law to knowingly support (through monetary gain) any site that infringes upon the copywrite of a company. You just need to make a complaint. The FBI, state District Attorneys, etc, cannot do so for you. Similar to expecting the cops to bust someone for mugging you. If you don't press charges there is nothing they can do.I think convincing the companies like Penthouse/AFF and ImLive etc to freeze the major offending tube sites affiliate accounts and refuse to pay until they clean up their sites etc would be the best thing that could happen in this case.

Very good point.Brazzers, Sexsearch, Fling, etc. buys ads on some of the most popular tubes. Those companies are associated with companies that produce a lot of content..
I think Tubes are a wake up call to the Older Affiliate Programs.. Step up your game.. Step up your members areas.. Step up the quality of your sites/content.. Give the surfer what you promise for an affordable price.
Platinum Dave and Dan always seem ready to step up and fight for what is right and I commend them on that.
Piracy is a problem in every industry ESPECIALLY ours and if they can nip these tubes in the butt while it's early it can only be for the best.
Some people think they can close down Tubes sites and all the surfers will rush back to TGP sites with 4 15 second clips and then rush off to sign up to sites that are not worth $3 let alone $30.
If stealing content was the key to running a successful Tube site then stopping them stealing it would work, it's not so won't make any difference.
If the surfers are so pissed off with buying what we offer them for $30 they will put up with the shit a Tube site puts out then closing Tube sites is not the solution. It's not Tubes sites fault the surfers prefer them th paysites, it's the paysites fault.
It's amazing that so many see the key to selling as reducing the customers options. As for the theft issue, that's a red herring. Stopping theft will not kill Tubes sites, in fact it will do the opposite.
Start giving the surfer more at a better value and better reasons to sign up and you might have a chance making a change to the industry. Or at least your fortunes.
As for the title, no one gives a fuck that every $30 membership was costing the DVD or magazine industry. You were very happy to take business from them if it came to you.
Anyone who wants legal Tube clips for the Tube site need only hit me up.Comment

Bump....
.... and... I don't think there's any way tube sites will last much longer between legal complications and trying to support that amount of bandwidth (which is probably being supported by investors who will hopefully get burned in the end ).Comment

Bullshit Paul we all know the reason they do well is giving away 20 min scenes that dont belong to them. This isnt a revolution, it's if given a choice to pay for something or not most will pick not everytime.Very good point.

Also when ad buyers realize there is no roi on freeloader traffic.Just because there is alot of it doesnt mean its good.Comment

Someone willing to put this into system, maybe a site where companies/individuals can add how much business they are willing to pull from companies that are supporting the illegal tube sites? The law can't do anything, companies can. If enough of the major players convinced these dating sites that working with us rather than against us was in their best interests, maybe something actually happens. We have already pulled alot traffic from sponsors based on their supporting people who are fucking us, but still got some $4-5K/month with streamray, which we can throw into the poll...Comment

Keep kidding yourself that. It will help you sleep at night until you discover you're wrong.
A. You can't force someone to buy.
B. You have to know what the buyer needs to sell to him.
C. You have to know what your product really is to sell it.
D. You can't market shit year in and year out.
D. is the key.
For 8 years I have been telling most of you that unless you get the product right the consumer will turn off of buying (content is king). And for 8 years most of you you experts have been going down the same alley. You've been more interested in selling to someone who send you 3 joins a day than the actual people joining. 1000s of sites with exactly the same content, to the industry it's exclusive, to the surfer it's no different than what's on 999 other sites.
The surfer needs 30 minutes, the industry needs him the spend $30. Guess who won in the end?
Now you have surfers who see no point in paying for what's inside a site and your only answer is to force him.Comment

Next he is going to defend warez sites because the surfers are pissed off that Photoshop costs so much...
Then he will move on to buying cars from thieves because the car companies shouldn't charge so much for new cars...Comment

I agree with you there - those things DO cost too much!Comment

oh, 100 tube and warez sites :DComment

I see three general types of people running the pirate content tube sites or supporting them:
1. Young newcomers to the industry. 19yo kids who may run other torrent and warez sites. 1:15,000 ratios are normal for them. These do not understand that there is much more money in not giving all the content out for free. This is their easy entry into the market and they don't know any better.
2. Desperate failing site owners who are trying to keep their profits. They think in the short term and do not consider that they are killing their business in the long run.
3. Adult site owners who have implemented their exit strategy and are looking to leave the adult industry. Especially the paysite model. They don't care anymore. They are going to sell everything out so the 1:20,000 ratios won't matter to them. If they have paysites you can probably expect them to be selling them very soon.
The ones who are fighting it are demonstrating that they are in the industry for the long term, not just get rich quick and leave the adult market.
You don't like my posts? Put me on ignore or fuck right off. I'll say what I want.
