    Do any bloggers BAN countries?

    With the constant junk traffic and spam 'user' signups from .pl and .ru etc... has anyone gone so far as to ban those country extensions at the server level?

    I have no interest in those visitors legit or not and has caused nothing but problems.

      I know a couple of guys that ban India, Pakistan, and China to keep their quality up.

          I dont have any country banned at the moment,but reason for that is as i have toomuch bandwidth and resources available so i dont really care,otherwise i would ban many countries.

                          I don't block or redirect any countries. I use the geomatic tool at CrakRevenue to monetize them.

                              You're not likely to get significant traffic from other places to make it worthwhile to block.

                                              I don't blog, but I'm giving some serious consideration to blocking India, Egypt, and China altogether.

                                              To much coming in from those countries with nothing in return, and I'm tired of banning individual IPs.
                                              I'm funner than AIDS, and easier to explain to your parents.

                                                      You could start with all muslim countries plus where porn is banned,kind a pointless to have such traffic.
                                                      Tho when it comes to ru it is better to redirect to proper sponsor,some of them pays a lot of money per pps on russian traffic.

                                                                  I also have A LOT of this trackback spam shit. especially on one single post, it´s years old. I hate to see that on my stats. I think only 10% of traffic on this project is real, the rest are chinese trackback hits and a lot categorized as "unknown". It´s really annoying.

                                                                  I already tried to block lots of IP´s via htaccess, with plugins, but somehow it doesn´t work at all and I gave up
