In all honesty, that is the economical and logical way to go. New is a waste unless its a 100% biz expense. No sense paying 8x as much just cause it has less KMS/Miles.
Even factoring in upkeep and repairs, used is the way to go.
Perfect example: We paid 3500 for our Pt Loser ($200 a month). Prolly put 2200 in repairs since buying it last November (700 of which was actual upkeep and not related to wife's driving haha). So total cost per month averaged to $369 a month. That's still a lot less than payments on a new car and all the major shit was all repaired (including a busted timing belt that almost murdered it).
Best part is, it's almost paid off and will last us another few years (so long as wife's driving stays good).
