We were mostly spared in Niagara region - only a few thousand lost power.
We lost hydro for a few hours Saturday night. Then it came back on around 6am just in time to make a coffee. Then went back out for a few hours later in the morning.
The storm was very selective how/where it hit.

here in NE Indiana we didn't get any of that but we did get a 8" storm about a week ago..
2 years ago in I think july we had a bad storm and we were without power for 36 hours. That sucked but now I have a generator if it happens againComment

We have a massive 100yr old tree in the front yard. The canopy covers 4 houses, all the way across the street, too. Limbs were drooping damn low by Sunday morning. But things thawed by mid-afternoon...so we're out of jeopardy now.Comment

had that shit last year. The power lines set the trees on fire. Called the fire dept. Said call the power people as it wasn't their problem. Power people said not their problem, call the fire dept.

Fucking weather is being an asshole.
It's been in the teens and twentys and unusually snowy for over a month now, then it gets awesome out this weekend for 2 days around 65, then it goes right back to 30 degree weather today and when it was warm out, it rained the whole time..

Come to Australia! We have a handful of mountains whose snow is so shit they have to artificially make it to make snowboarding worth while. Snow is rare as rocking horse shit everywhere else in the country.
