As sad as it is to learn about the conditions under which he was found, and that he has no family so to speak, it's comforting to see how much he was loved by his "family" here in the industry. He may not have any living relatives, but he certainly has a family here. He obviously touched a lot of lives, and will be greatly missed by the entire community.

We had tried to get in touch with him, one of our employees lives in the complex he was living in and had tried to knock on his door etc but to no avail. Our poor guy was under the impression Mark was unhappy with him and simply not answering the door. Anyone who knew Mark well knew he could sometimes be a bit antisocial at times, and he was simply paying respect to his need for distance when he was feeling that way. We had no idea and no way to get in to see what was going on (and Joel and myself are in Toronto, nowhere near where Mark lived).Comment
