I really don't look forward to doing these kinds of things, and I am very upset as I write this, but I figured that the community should know.
TexasDreams was found this morning in his apartment. He had they believe he had passed away a little over a month ago. He had left Homegrown a few months ago, due to high amounts of stress and his failing state of health. We wished him well and as far as we had known he was puttering along doing his own thing. However, for the last two months nobody had heard from him, and when the apartment managers called one of our staff who lived in his complex and knew him, he was worried and immediately informed them of Mark's heart problems in the past. They went in and that is when he was found.
Mark aka TexasDreams was a wonderful man, who will be very much missed by everyone at Homegrown, and I believe in the webmaster community at large. His contributions to GFY over the years really put him into all of our hearts and minds, and I know he took great pride in all that he had done there.
Mark had no family and nobody to send condolences to, unfortunately, so I hope that we, the community he helped foster, babysit, stir up, and laugh, can pay him a tribute for all his hard work, and everything he brought to us in his own special way.
I really don't know what else to say... we're all sort of still in a state of shock over here as well, but I felt obligated to share the news with the community and give everyone the opportunity to say goodbye.
