Suspending disbelief is a muscle to develop if you'd like to enjoy movies, instead of picking them apart. It's a movie.

Very intense movie. The Hollywood ending quite ruined the effect for me, though. I would have preferred a little less sunshine and happy, more Sunshine.

experience: the most overrated word of the moment.
If i'm beaten, it is also an experience.
If something makes me puke it's also an experience...
When i go to the toilet: an experience too.

                Europa Report.

Indie movie, no big name actors, actually has solid science (I think) and ddoesn't rely on big budget 3d effects. The movie itself is also infinitely better.

(Actually I liked Armageddon - crazy fun and good VFX and the wedding at the very end was kinda sorta awesome and made me almost watery).

Here in Montreal there has been a kind of a small revival of repetoire cinema, showing lots of older movies on the big screen (Back to the Future, Star Trek Wrath of Khan, etc)... (Called the Digital Film Festival at the Scotia bank Theatre) and I heard the IMAX theatre here will start showing old Imax movies as well. Maybe Gravity will be re-released on IMAX again sometime soon.

I didn't like Sunshine much... Some kind of Quantum bomb to fix the sun sounded like a cool Sci-Fi idea and some parts were great, but overall I was disappointed.

Because there are too many flaws for a sci-fi movie and too boring for a blockbuster. Armageddon was very interesting and funny indeed and was not pretending on sci-fi authenticity.

Honestly, one of the best movies I have seen in a loooooong time. Why do people want it to be "realistic" or "scientifically accurate" is beyond me, you want something realistic, go watch a documentary. This was a great movie and Sandra Bullock was brilliant.
