Houses are great.
And then you get to put on a new roof, replace the furnace and central AC, replace old wiring/plumbing, re-build a sagging roof over the back deck, pave the driveway, replace the 50-yr-old windows with new triple-pane thermals, overhaul the 1970s bathrooms, replace the aged kitchen cabinetry, update the lighting fixtures, new garage door opener, mow the lawn weekly, tend the gardens, pool maintenance...
Our house is 128 yrs. old this year.
I love a fix 'n repair place. Gives a feeling of accomplishment.
And exhaustion.
