    Make Vista SP1 Permanent

I've followed the instructions and reclaimed some of the disk space Vista's SP1 takes up. The downside: I can't uninstall SP1 anymore.

I'm scared still. XP works so well for me I can't find a reason to change yet.

Soon enough XP will be discontinued, then you'll have to. Me too I guess.

I have 1 Vista machine all my other machines are still XP. I'm only upgrading them when XP breaks beyond repair. In some situations XP is still a better choice then Vista; at least for me.
